Šokujúca správa zo sveta šoubznisu. Herec Cole Sprouse zo seriálu Riverdale bol zatknutý! -

Len pred pár dňami sme informovali o tom, že hviezdna dvojica zo seriálu Riverdale sa vraj definitívne rozišla. Vyzerá to ale tak, že v hercovom živote sa toho deje oveľa viac. Cole Sprouse bol zatknutý a informoval o tom dokonca on sám na svojom Instagrame.

Určite si zachytila v médiách informáciu o smrti černocha Georgea Floyda, ktorému americký policajt kľačal na krku, v dôsledku čoho nemohol dýchať. Aj keď na to upozorňoval, policajt nereagoval a dopadlo to katastrofálne. Tento prípad spôsobil obrovskú vlnu nepokoja a nielen obyčajní ľudia, ale aj mediálne známe osobnosti začali na sociálnych sieťach vyjadrovať svoj nesúhlas voči tomuto konaniu.

Svoju pozornosť tiež upriamujú na heslo „Black Lives Matter“, čím chcú povedať, že ľudia inej pleti sú rovnocenní ako ostatní ľudia a aj na ich životoch záleží. Možno si zachytila na Instagrame celebrity, ktoré zdieľali len čiernu fotku, ktorou vyjadrovali svoju podporu. V utorok 2. júna sa preto konal veľký protest v Santa Monice, ktorého sa zúčastnil okrem iných aj herec Cole Sprouse, no určite nečakal, že ho zatkne polícia.

A group of peaceful protesters, myself included, were arrested yesterday in Santa Monica. So before the voracious horde of media sensationalism decides to somehow turn it about me, there’s a clear need to speak about the circumstances: Black Lives Matter. Peace, riots, looting, are an absolutely legitimate form of protest. the media is by nature only going to show the most sensational, which only proves a long standing racist agenda. I was detained when standing in solidarity, as were many of the final vanguard within Santa Monica. We were given the option to leave, and were informed that if we did not retreat, we would be arrested. When many did turn to leave, we found another line of police officers blocking our route, at which point, they started zip tying us. It needs to be stated that as a straight white man, and a public figure, the institutional consequences of my detainment are nothing in comparison to others within the movement. This is ABSOLUTELY not a narrative about me, and I hope the media doesn’t make it such. This is, and will be, a time about standing ground near others as a situation escalates, providing educated support, demonstrating and doing the right thing. This is precisely the time to contemplate what it means to stand as an ally. I hope others in my position do as well. I noticed that there are cameras that roll within the police cruisers during the entirety of our detainment, hope it helps. I’ll speak no more on the subject, as I’m (1) not well versed enough to do so, (2) not the subject of the movement, and (3) uninterested in drawing attention away from the leaders of the #BLM movement. „Skupina pokojných demonštrantov, vrátane mňa, bola včera zatknutá v Santa Monice. Je potrebné hovoriť o okolnostiach: Black Lives Matter. Mier, výtržnosti a rabovanie sú legitímnou formou protestu. Bol som zadržaný, keď som stál v solidarite s ostatnými v prvej línii. Dostali sme možnosť odísť a boli sme informovaní, že ak by sme sa nevzdali, zatkli by nás. Keď sa mnohí z nás otočili na odchod, našli sme ďalších policajtov, ktorí zablokovali našu cestu a obkľúčili nás,“ napísal Cole na svojom profile.

Ako ale poznamenal, nechce, aby toto bolo rozprávanie o ňom, ale o tom, čo sa deje. Je čas, kedy sa situácia stupňuje a kedy musíme stáť pri ostatných a poskytnúť im svoju podporu. Toto je čas, kedy si presne uvedomíme, čo znamená byť spojencom. Aj napriek všetkému bude toto hnutie aj naďalej podporovať.
